Year 2007 was a year full of mispressings, testpressings and acetates:
28 December 2007: A couple of very interesting lps: german Amarok with promotional info sheet and greek Earth Moving with totally misprinted cover !!

26 December 2007: Some very rare lps to add to my lp collection:
2LP Incantations MISPRESSED France. Side 1 plays side 3. No side 1 at all !!

21 December 2007: Two very beautiful new japaneses boxes with mini-lp-cd albums inside and one scarf from my very good friend Ralf Henke. Thanks Ralf for this very old and special gift !!
14 December 2007: Two interesting and beautiful posters: 1) crime of passion advert and 2) first show of the first tour (1979) in Barcelona !!
7 December 2007: Another packet with some interesting acetates inside. This time one 7'' acetate of The Killing Fields album (includes Evacuation and Requiem For A City songs), two 12'' acetates of Tubular Bells II album (Sentinel / Weighties and Sentinel / Clear Light) and one 7'' acetate by The Sallyangie (Love In Ice Crystals / Chamaleon) !!

24 November 2007: Today I received one vinyl single not in Rainer's lists. I never heard about its existence. We knew this item only as a promotional copy in white label. Now we know it also exists as normal stock copy in blue label. It is a very old single from USA in 1972 by The Sallyangie with songs Sweet Child of Allah and Lady Go Lightly !!
10 November 2007: Barcelona record fair. As usual, a good opportunity to buy some interesting Mike Oldfield vinyl items. This year I bought five interesting lps: three Tubular Bells (japanese, american and german club edition) and two Ommadawn (japanese and canadian with a rare sticker) !!

19 October 2007: Six new very interesting vinyl LPs for my collection: (1) Megarare Tubular Bells TESTPRESSING from UK (only one side with Tubular Bells Part 2 including The Sailor's Hornpipe, nothing in the other side), (2) Very rare promotional Ommadawn from UK (sticker on cover, FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE), (3) Interesting Ommadawn from South Africa, (4) Interesting Ommadawn from Greece (unique backcover), (5) nice Boxed from Italy and (6) nice Boxed from Portugal (unique white backcover) !!

17 October 2007: The new Mike Oldfield album, Music of the Spheres, is planned to be released in February, 2008. Today, a few months before the official release, I received a copy of the new album in a very beautiful and rare tin box !!
3 October 2007: Very nice Boxed 4LP. It is a UK edition but with an italian sticker for the italian market !!

6 September 2007: Eight very nice additions to my LP collection: (1) Exposed from France with a nice sticker, (2) Hergest Ridge from USA in nice black label, (3) Hergest Ridge from Australia with rare promotional sticker, (4) megarare TESTPRESSING of Tubular Bells from UK by Immediate Sound Services Limited, (5) promotional Tubular Bells from Argentina with promo sticker, (6) very rare Tubular Bells from Peru in rare Philips label, (7) very interesting Tubular Bells from Venezuela and (8) interesting Tubular Bells from Mexico !!

1 September 2007: Ommadawn lp from Ireland, with an interesting sticker: "Including Paddy Moloney on the Uileann Pipes" !!

15 August 2007: Once again, one more incredible packet with acetates inside. Three more, one 7'', one 10'' and one double 12'' size !!

7'' 1968 The SallyAngie: Children of the Sun / A Lover For All Seasons ACETATE. Megarare acetate with one song on each side.
1979 I Got Rhythm / Into Wonderland ACETATE 10'' South Africa. It says "Sally" on label but "Into Wonderland" is included.
1979 Platinum DOUBLE ACETATE South Africa. Megarare 12'' double acetate with the complete album extracts.
11 August 2007: Interesting Tubular Bells in heavy 200 grams vinyl !!
19 July 2007: Two more megarare southafrican acetates: one by The Sallyangie (two songs: Children of the Sun and Midsummer Night's Happening) and one with other artist (Pictures in the Dark by Mike Oldfield on A side and Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel on B side) !!

14 July 2007: Big packet with a lot of lps inside. The most interesting: editions from Zimbabwe, South Africa or Taiwan !!
16 June 2007: One more incredible packet with acetates inside. Four more, two 12'' size and two 10'' size !!

15 May 2007: Happy birthday Mike !! Today, in your 54th anniversary, I received a very special item: 10'' acetate with 6 minutes extract of Ommadawn !!
11 April 2007: I met time ago one incredible seller. He has at home a lot of megarare acetates, very expensive, but I'm trying to buy a few time to time. Today I received FIVE more Mike Oldfield vinyl acetates (heavy metallic vinyl, strong smell, two holes...). Here one photo where you can see all them:

12'' Airborne DOUBLE SIDE ACETATE. Megarare acetate of Airborn album. Airborne was released only in USA and Canada, but this acetate is from South Africa !! Maybe it was planned to be released in South Africa but finally only appeared these advance copy acetates ??
12'' Airborne DOUBLE SIDE ACETATE. As above but different combination of songs !! Both Airborne acetates have one extra extrange thing in common: they have a matrix number (XEAP-O16). This is really strange because usually acetates have nothing written in the matrix !!
10'' Hergest Ridge DOUBLE SIDE ACETATE. Similar to one Hergest Ridge I received days ago but different extracts !!
12'' Shine EP DOUBLE SIDE ACETATE. Megarare four songs EP: Shine and The Path on side A and Legend and Pictures in the Dark on side B !!

29 March 2007: Double side 10'' acetate of Hergest Ridge. Another megarare addition in my collection !! And soon more Mike Oldfield megarare acetates !!
23 February 2007: Very interesting vinyl lp Q.E.2 portuguese pressing. It is a mispressed item, becuase the song Molly is missing on B side !!
7 February 2007: Today I received one of the most incredible packets in my 15 years collecting Mike Oldfield vinyl items experience. Inside the packet I found EIGHT ACETATES (metallic and heavy vinyl with peculiar smell and one extra hole behind the label). All them from South Africa, five are 7'' size, two are 10'' size and one is 12'' size. They were used on radios with promotional purposes. Here a photo of all them together:
Because they were very expensive, it is impossible to me to keep all them in my own collection, so I will keep only three of them. I offered the other five acetatos to my good friends Fernando and Miguel, so they bought them and they will keep them in their Mike Oldfield collections.
So I will keep in my own collection these three acetates:
12'' The Complete DOUBLE SIDE ACETATE. Very rare acetate with a selection of tracks of The Complete album. For promotional use on southafrican radios. In comes with a nice company letter and includes five songs or extracts in each side (very rare, notice that Family Man is on both sides). Click on "company letter" to read it.

4 January 2007: Excellent start of the new year with a very nice vinyl LP number 200 in my LP collection. It is Platinum album from South Africa. And it is very nice and rare because it has an unique backcover (usually editions of this album have a butterfly on backcover but in this edition we have a big Mike Oldfield photo on it) !!
